IN A COASTAL Oregon town, best friends Robb and Sean are often found rooted in their couch, smoking pot and playing video games. Then one night they cross paths with True Patriots and everything changes.

While the militia group's rampage through a Portland civil rights demonstration nearly causes a riot, Sean sums up the mayhem in one word: "Awesome." He quickly finds himself under the spell of True Patriots' charismatic yet delusional leader, an ex-Marine code-named Viper.

Robb reluctantly joins in hopes of protecting Sean only to become embroiled in a plot to kidnap U.S. Sen. Alexandra Austin, a mass shooting survivor whose landmark gun control bill has drawn the ire of far-right extremists. When the plot turns real, Robb desperately searches for a way out. Will it be too late?
